Description

Finally a leather muzzle that is affordable! This leather muzzle is imported directly from Germany. It is professionally made. The muzzle is lightweight and flexible, yet very strong and reinforced with rivets.

The muzzle is available in 4 different sizes. This muzzle is open enough to allow for maximum air flow and comfort for your dog while wearing it. Perfect for those trips to the vet or long walks with your dog. This muzzle also has a forehead strap that runs the length of the dogs nose up between the eyes and attaches to the strap behind their head. This type of strap is very popular with dogs who don't like wearing a muzzle, and also in dogs with larger, wider heads. Perfect to use for added safety with dominant or aggressive dogs.

This is not the type of muzzle to be used for muzzle fighting work with your dog. If you are interested in a muzzle to be used for muzzle fighting, please look at our Police Style Muzzle.

To measure your dog's nose, follow the two steps below.

Step One
Measure the dog's nose length. This should be from the
tip of the nose up to 1/2 inch below the eyes. This should
be taken along the top of the dog's nose as shown below.

Example: The dog in this photo has a 4-inch nose length.

Step Two
Measure the circumference of the nose.
This should be done at the same point - 1/2 inch below the eyes.

Example: The dog in this photo has a circumference of about 11 ½ inches.

**It is VERY important that you give your dog enough room to pant while wearing the muzzle. The measurements shown in the chart above are the ACTUAL measurements of the muzzle itself. You need to be sure of TWO things before you choose your muzzle size.

FIRST: Your dog's "nose length" can NOT be SHORTER than the actual "muzzle length." If the muzzle is longer/deeper than your dog's nose length, the muzzle will be in the dog's line of vision.

SECOND: The muzzle's "circumference" MUST be LARGER than your dog's "nose circumference". We recommend between 1-3 inches larger than your dog's measurement. If the muzzle is the exact same size as your dog's nose, the dog won't be able to pant. It's mouth won't even be able to open.
